What: This informative and engaging workshop will introduce participants to Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) and its impacts on health and social outcomes throughout the lifespan. Participants will learn how to recognize FASD, and will explore effective, evidence-based approaches for supporting affected individuals. Participants will also learn about the link between alcohol and pregnancy and develop tools to engage women and their partners in a conversation about the risks of consuming alcohol during pregnancy.
This workshop is suitable for professionals working with individuals and families impacted by FASD, caregivers and family members, and professionals and volunteers who may encounter children, youth or adults who may be affected by FASD.
